CPA/IPSF/IPA TB Task Group Meets in Cairo

Representatives of the Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association, the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation and the Indian Pharmaceutical Association held a meeting of the TB Task Group in Cairo during the FIP Congress in September.

The meeting was brought up-to-date on progress of the TB Fact Card Project in Mumbai by Project Coordinator, Mrs Manjiri Gharat.

Just over 150 patients have been collecting their medication from the 60 community pharmacies participating in the project. Pharmacists have been available to discuss any aspects of treatment raised by the patients and to provide on-going patient support for continued adherence to medication regimens.

Evaluation of the project was undertaken in May 2006.
